Giving up the Juice

No not steroids or oj. I think I'm going to take one of the biggest leaps of faith and try to give up my diet coke addiction. It is going to be step one of the eat cleaner movement in my life. I need to really revamp my diet and this is the place to start. I will only have one if we go out to dinner or lunch maybe. I'll stick to my one cup of coffee in the morning and water and unsweet tea(being from NC this is sacreligious). Step 2 is going to be giving up cookies. Damn you Chick Fil A and your new chocolate chip cookies and for being 8 steps from work! I know this is a headache waiting to happen but I hate feeling dependent on something and it's time for it to go!

Who am I?

Hi! Thanks for checking out my new blog! I know it says I've been doing it since last year, but that's just when I thought about signing up for it :)  My name is Erin and I'm from North Carolina.  I decided about 14,000 times that it was time for me to loose weight and get fit, and every time it never happened.  So for time 14,001 I have decided to do something different.  I'm going to keep a blog and tell you about so I am accountable to the world.  So far I've lost about 10 pounds and I've got about 35 to go.  I am a fitness junkie, not expert.  This blog is solely based on my opinions and experiences.  With that being said lets get this party started!


10 Random Facts
10- I'm a hair stylist, which is my true passion but I have a degree in hospitality management and a minor in business administration.
9- I've never competed in an actual 5k 10k or anything other than a virtual race. My first will be my half marathon in October.  Go big or go home :)
8- I raced motocross in high school
7- The CBS Sunday morning show is my favorite time of the week.  The Today Show is a close second
6- I have been married since March of 2010
5- I was/am/alwayswillbe an Army wife
4- One of the proudest moments of my life was the first time I ran a mile straight.  It was May 2011 with Cary Ann on Hell On Wheels Road from our gym to that barracks building and back. 
3- CrossFit will always always always be my favorite even if I am not part of a gym at the moment
2- Oatmeal Raisin cookies are my weakness
1- My "real" family is huge and wonderful, but the family we met while in the army takes the cake.

To go paddle boarding in Hawaii
To run the RockNRoll half marathon in Las Vegas
To hike the Grand Canyon again
To scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef
Learn to surf and learn to surf well
Buy a kayak
and the list goes on

Fitness Goals
- loose the layer of pudge that covers my whole body
- find my abs
- do 25 man ups on my 25th birthday (men style push ups)
- Run a full marathon (just once)
